Pebble SeeQ (“Pebble SeeQ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a mobile application used to connect with smart glasses. The App allows users to synchronize photos, videos, and audio recordings from smart glasses to their mobile device, use AI voice chat features, query weather information based on location, and create or access an account using an email address.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, where it is stored, how long it is retained, how you can delete your information, and what rights you may have under applicable privacy laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDPA”) for users located in India, and the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) for users located in the European Economic Area (“EEA”).

For purposes of applicable data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDPA”) and, where applicable, the GDPR, the Data Fiduciary responsible for your personal information is:

3.1 Account Information

Pebble SeeQ supports account registration and login using an email address. We do not require users to register or log in with a mobile phone number.

When you create or use an account, we may collect and process the following information:

• Email address;
• Encrypted or hashed password information;
• User account ID;
• Login status and authentication records;
• Registration time and last login time;
• Account deletion status, if you request deletion of your account or personal information.

Your account information is stored on servers located outside India. We use this information only to provide account registration, login, identity verification, account management, security protection, and related App services.

3.2 Smart Glasses and Device Connection Information

To connect your mobile device with smart glasses and provide device-related functions, we may process the following information:

• Smart glasses model, device name, device identifier, firmware version, and hardware version;
• Bluetooth connection status, pairing status, and synchronization status;
• Device settings and supported feature information;
• Connection logs, error logs, and diagnostic information used to improve device compatibility and App stability.

This information is used to connect, manage, and synchronize your smart glasses with the App. We do not use this information to identify you for advertising purposes.

3.3 Photos, Videos, and Audio Recordings from Smart Glasses

Pebble SeeQ allows you to synchronize, import, view, manage, or delete photos, videos, and audio recordings from your smart glasses.

Photos, videos, and audio recordings captured by your smart glasses are transferred to and stored locally on your mobile device. These media files are not uploaded to, stored on, or backed up to our backend servers by default.

We may process limited local file information to display and manage media files in the App, such as:

• File name;
• File type;
• File size;
• File duration;
• Creation time;
• Import or synchronization status;
• Thumbnail information generated locally on your device.

Unless you actively choose to share a media file with another service, use a feature that requires external processing, or export the file outside the App, your smart glasses media files remain on your device and are under your control.

3.4 AI Voice Chat Information

Pebble SeeQ provides AI voice chat features. When you use these features, we may process:

• Voice input you provide through the microphone or smart glasses;
• Speech recognition results converted from your voice input;
• Text prompts, chat messages, and AI-generated responses;
• Language settings, request time, and technical status information necessary to provide the service.

To provide these features, your data is sent to and processed by third-party AI services operated by Microsoft Corporation: (1) Microsoft Azure AI Speech (Speech Services) – your voice recordings are sent for speech-to-text recognition, and the response text is sent for text-to-speech synthesis; (2) Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service – your recognized or entered text and the related conversation content are sent to generate AI chat responses.

This data is sent only to provide the AI voice chat features you request, generate responses, and maintain service security. It is not used for advertising or unrelated tracking. Microsoft processes this data as our service provider under the Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum and Microsoft’s enterprise privacy and security commitments, which provide a level of protection for your personal data that is the same as or equivalent to the protection described in this Privacy Policy. Microsoft does not use this data to train its foundation models. For more information, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

We request your explicit consent within the App before any of the above data is sent to these third-party AI services for the first time. If you do not consent, the AI voice chat features will not be available, while other App features continue to work. You may withdraw your consent at any time in the App settings, after which these features will be disabled.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in your voice input or chat messages unless it is necessary for your use of the feature.

3.5 Location Information

Pebble SeeQ may request access to your location only when you use weather-related features or other location-based services.

Depending on your device settings and the permission you grant, we may process:

• Approximate location, such as city or region;
• Precise location, if you grant precise location permission;
• Weather query time and related request information.

Location information is used to provide local weather information. We do not use your location for advertising, user tracking, or unrelated purposes.

You can disable location access at any time in your device settings. If location access is disabled, weather-related features may not work properly or may require you to manually select a location.

3.6 App Usage, Logs, and Technical Information

To maintain App stability, diagnose issues, improve compatibility, and protect security, we may collect limited technical information, including:

• App version;
• Device model;
• Operating system version;
• Language and region settings;
• Crash logs and error reports;
• Connection status and synchronization failure logs;
• Security logs used to detect abnormal access, abuse, or unauthorized activity.

This information is used for troubleshooting, service maintenance, product improvement, and security protection.

We use your information for the following purposes:

• To create, verify, maintain, and secure your Pebble SeeQ account;
• To allow users to log in using an email address;
• To connect your mobile device with smart glasses through Bluetooth or related connection methods;
• To synchronize photos, videos, and audio recordings from smart glasses to your mobile device;
• To display and manage local media files in the App;
• To provide AI voice chat and related voice interaction features;
• To provide weather information based on your location;
• To provide customer support and respond to your requests;
• To diagnose bugs, crashes, connection failures, and performance problems;
• To protect the security and integrity of the App and our services;
• To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, and enforceable governmental requests.

We process your personal data only when we have a valid legal basis under applicable law. The primary framework governing users in India is the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDPA”). For users in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the GDPR may also apply.

• Consent (primary basis under DPDPA): We rely primarily on your free, informed, specific, and unconditional consent to collect and process your personal data, as required under the DPDPA. You may withdraw your consent at any time through the App or your device settings. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to such withdrawal.
• Legitimate uses under DPDPA: Certain processing activities may be carried out without consent where permitted under the DPDPA as “legitimate uses,” including compliance with legal obligations, responding to medical emergencies, and processing for court or government-mandated purposes.
• Performance of a contract: We process your account information, device connection information, and service-related information to provide the App features you request.
• Legal obligations: We may process certain information when necessary to comply with applicable Indian laws and regulations, including the DPDPA, Information Technology Act, 2000, and related rules, as well as legal processes or official government requests.

Pebble SeeQ may request the following permissions depending on the features you use:

• Bluetooth: Used to discover, pair, connect, and communicate with smart glasses.
• Photos and Media Library: Used to save, view, import, and manage photos, videos, and audio recordings synchronized from your smart glasses.
• Microphone: Used for AI voice chat, voice input, speech recognition, or audio-related features.
• Location: Used to provide weather information based on your current location.
• Notifications: Used to send device status reminders, service notices, or App-related alerts if you enable notifications.

We request permissions only when they are relevant to App functionality. You can manage or revoke permissions at any time through your device settings. If you disable a required permission, some features may become unavailable.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not upload smart glasses photos, videos, or audio recordings to our backend servers by default.

We may share limited personal information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: We may use cloud hosting providers, AI service providers, speech processing providers, weather service providers, analytics providers, crash reporting providers, email service providers, and security service providers to help us operate the App.
• Weather service providers: When you use weather features, your location or selected city may be sent to a weather service provider to return weather information.
• AI service providers: When you use AI voice chat, your voice recordings, converted text, and chat content are sent to Microsoft Azure AI Speech and Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service (both operated by Microsoft Corporation) to perform speech recognition and synthesis and to generate responses. We obtain your explicit in-app consent before this data is sent, and these providers offer protection equivalent to that described in this Privacy Policy.
• Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, court order, regulatory request, or government authority.
• Security protection: We may disclose information when necessary to protect the rights, safety, property, and security of users, our services, or others.
• With your consent: We may share information when you explicitly authorize or direct us to do so.

Pebble SeeQ may use third-party services to provide certain functions. These may include:

• Cloud hosting services for account information and backend services;
• Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service (operated by Microsoft Corporation) – AI chat and natural language processing;
• Microsoft Azure AI Speech / Speech Services (operated by Microsoft Corporation) – speech recognition and speech synthesis;
• Weather information services;
• Email delivery or account verification services;
• Crash reporting and diagnostic services;
• Analytics and performance monitoring services.

These third-party service providers may process personal information only as necessary to provide their services to us or to you. We require service providers to use reasonable security and privacy protections consistent with applicable law. In particular, Microsoft processes data for the AI voice chat and speech features under the Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum, which we consider to provide the same or equivalent level of protection as described in this Privacy Policy.

Your account information and certain service-related data may be transferred to and processed on servers located outside India. We apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to protect your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

 

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the App, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements.

• Account information: Retained while your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion of your user information, we will delete or anonymize the relevant information unless retention is required by law or necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or compliance.
• Smart glasses media files: Photos, videos, and audio recordings synchronized from smart glasses are stored locally on your mobile device and are not saved to our backend servers by default. You may delete these files through the App or your device storage.
• Location information: Used only as needed to provide weather information and is not used for long-term user tracking.
• AI voice chat information: Retained only as necessary to provide the AI voice chat service, maintain service security, troubleshoot issues, or comply with applicable law.
• Logs and diagnostics: Retained for a limited period for troubleshooting, security, crash analysis, and service improvement.

Pebble SeeQ provides an in-app function that allows users to delete their user information or account information.

You may delete your information through the App by using the account deletion or user information deletion feature. After you submit a deletion request, we will delete or anonymize your account-related personal information within a reasonable period, unless we are required or permitted to retain certain information for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or compliance purposes.

You may also contact us at support@pebblecart.com to request deletion of your personal information.

Please note that deleting your account or user information from our backend servers does not automatically delete photos, videos, or audio recordings stored locally on your mobile device or on your smart glasses. You can delete those local files directly in the App, from your device storage, or from the smart glasses if supported.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

These measures may include:

• Encryption during transmission where appropriate;
• Password encryption or hashing;
• Access controls and permission management;
• Server-side security protections;
• Security monitoring and abnormal access detection;
• Limiting access to personal information to authorized personnel and service providers;
• Regular review and improvement of security practices.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We will acknowledge your grievance and endeavour to resolve at the earliest. We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request.

You can control certain data collection and processing activities through the App or your device settings.

• You can grant or revoke Bluetooth permission;
• You can grant or revoke location permission;
• You can grant or revoke microphone permission;
• You can grant or revoke photo and media library permission;
• You can manage notification preferences;
• You can delete local photos, videos, and audio recordings imported from smart glasses;
• You can delete your user information or account through the in-app deletion feature;
• You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information.

If you disable certain permissions, some App features may not function properly.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your smart glasses photos, videos, audio recordings, location information, or AI voice chat content for third-party advertising sales.

Pebble SeeQ is primarily a mobile application and does not rely on traditional browser cookies for its main features. However, the App or third-party SDKs may use similar technologies, such as device identifiers, local storage, diagnostics tools, or log files, to maintain login status, analyze crashes, improve performance, and protect service security.

Where required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or other applicable Indian law, we will seek your consent before using non-essential analytics, tracking, or advertising technologies. You may withdraw such consent at any time through your device settings.

Pebble SeeQ may use AI technologies to process voice input, generate chat responses, provide speech-related features, or assist with user requests.

AI-generated content may not always be accurate or complete. You should not rely on AI responses as professional, medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical advice.

We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you without appropriate legal basis, safeguards, or your consent where required by law.

Pebble SeeQ is not designed to collect sensitive personal information such as government identification numbers, financial account details, health records, religious beliefs, political opinions, or biometric identifiers for identification purposes.

However, photos, videos, audio recordings, voice input, or chat content that you choose to create or provide may contain sensitive information. Please avoid including sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your use of the App.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, App features, legal requirements, or business practices.

When we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice through the App, by email, or by other appropriate means.

Your continued use of Pebble SeeQ after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy.
